Hope you’re having a great week! We’re in full demolition and planning mode at The Green House. The above images illustrate the new layout which will include relocating the refrigerator and the stove/oven to make it more of a practical kitchen layout. We’re also adding some built-in seating for the dining room table to make the most out of the smaller dining space.
Below are photos of the kitchen now that we’ve demoed out the old cabinets, appliances, and flooring. Both bathrooms have also been demoed and we’re in the process of water proofing the basement. Homes with basements around here tend to have a lot of moisture and occasionally standing water, so it’s always really important to tackle the basement and make sure it stays nice and dry – that way you don’t have to worry about things like mold growing.
The top right tile will be the flooring in the upstairs bathroom and the 12×24 tile on the left/middle area will be used for the kitchen. The tile in the box will be used for the downstairs bathroom. I love it….we’ve used it in a previous house and it still one of my very favorites – a clean and classic style.I’ll share more updates in the next week or two once we have cabinets installed. Check out the before pics here.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful 4th of July weekend!
